Dear Parents,

The children will be treated to a live snake show on Friday during assembly.  What a treat.

Flu - We have had one more case of Swine Flu reported in the Springbok class.  Very high fevers for days on end are the biggest indicator of any strain of flu.  

Theme – Wild animals.   The Yellowwood class is also concentrating on a colour a week.  Please help us by asking your child to point out items that are the colour of the week.  Next week will be RED.

Concert costumes – All concert costumes must be handed in to your child’s teacher by Friday 10 September at the latest in a plastic packet with your child’s name on it.   Please provide a packet even if the school is providing the costume.  This is so your child can take his/her costume home after the dress rehearsal on Wednesday 15 Sept and come dressed in his/her outfit on Friday 17 September.

Concert tickets – Tickets have gone on sale in the office as follows.  Because of a lack of seating, we will sell tickets for the Wednesday dress rehearsal as well as the Friday concert.  This is not applicable for the Yellowwood concert as there is plenty of seating for this age group on the Friday.  We will be selling a maximum of 3 tickets for the Friday concert per family and can accommodate another 4 for the dress rehearsal on Wednesday.  

Dress rehearsal – Wednesday 15 September.  (In the hall at Stirling Pre-school)
Tickets R10.  Tea and coffee will be available.
(All costumes should have been at school by the previous
Friday so the teachers can dress their children at school.)

8:30 – Blue Cranes & Springbok concert.    (Parents and grandparents to watch & our school children.)
10:00 – Yellowwood concert                      (Our school children to watch.)
11:00 – Proteas & Flags concert                (Parents and grandparents to watch & our school children.)

Concert – Friday 17 September.  (In the hall at Stirling Pre-school)
Tickets R20.  Coffee and tea will be available for the Yellowwoods.  
 Drinks and hot dogs will be on sale for the evening concerts.  

Spring bonnet – Please assist your child in making a Spring Bonnet for Wednesday 1 September.  This can be as simple or elaborate as you would like.  This does not have to be stressful.  The object is to make it with your child and have fun.

Photographs – Please remember to pay for and pick up the photographs which are in the office for collection.  The last photo re-orders are on Thursday 2 September.  No more orders will be taken after this date.
